Fleet Captain Sail

The Fleet Captain Sail coordinates all Club activities relating to sailing yachts.  The Fleet Captain Sail is a Flag Officer and serves as an active member of the Board of Directors. 

Fred was born in Queens NY, and his family moved south in1965. He graduated HS, graduated from Vocational school. Fred worked as a mechanic on trucks / trailers, forklifts, autos, fuel injection pump rebuild tech, stationary engines, backup generator sets, engines for irrigation and cotton gin applications. He moved to Florida in 1983 to operate a sales and service business for industrial engines, air compressors, and generators. In 1988 taught Truck /Diesel mechanic at Manatee Technical Institute for 15 years. He then returned to industry as Service Manager, Fleet Manager for a variety of companies in Tampa Bay Area. Fred retired in 2017 to a part time job. He began sailing in 1983 and crewed on boats mostly from MSA and BYC in local and regional races.
